[Review] Apple 'Powerbeats Pro' True-wireless earbuds are really better than AirPods TWS? Still the Best accessory for iPhone?Reviews/No-sponsored Review 2019.10.01 12:21
Apple’s recent wireless earbuds, ‘Powerbeats Pro’ has the highest level of manufacturing perfection in Bluetooth pairing stability and sound quality among TWS (true-wireless-stereo) earbuds currently released in the worldwide market. It has nine hours battery running time without storage case and IPX 6 leveled water resistance, and amazing comparability with Apple devices, so that all of these features appeals to many people who love gadgets with advanced technologies. However, I’d like you to check a few things before purchasing ‘Powerbeats Pro’. The first thing needs to check is comparing with your ‘Life-Cycle’. Regardless of this issue, probably your ‘Powerbeats Pro’ will not see the light in the drawers.
The reason why mentioned this issue is its huge bumpy heavy storage case. Could you really think that this huge case can be placed in the trousers’ pocket for outdoors? This question will give conflict to purchase ‘Powerbeats Pro’. In every situation, you’ll have to find placing the case on the table or into the pocket of the bag for securing its space. So, you’d better check the size of the case and see if it fits your bag or personal space, too.
The next issue needs to be reviewed is the comfort of wearing. Normally 'Powerbeats Pro' has half-flexible over-ear hangers hook so that help to wear even with glasses. Also, these hooks help that distributed over a wide area of heavy housing load, offering to wear for extended periods of time, and has the best strength that he earbuds can't fall off your ears even if shake your head hard.
But, these hooks are not actually suitable for everyone perfectly because of its fixed shape. Therefore, you have to figure out wearing it at least once to ensure whether it has a suitable fitting. To make sure that 'Powerbeats Pro' fits you, you must stop by Apple's official offline store or rent it from a local acquaintance to try it on.
The last thing you need to check is its acoustic environment. ‘Powerbeats Pro’ is designed as ‘Semi-opened(closed)’ type so that can be exposed to noises from outside of user’s ears by Air-ducts. Even with its acoustic design, it performs evenly in overall dynamic range even with some loss of upper treble and deep bass details. Its slightly boosted bass gives more weight and textured to overall sound-signature (tone of the sound) so that provides enough balanced acoustic performance for listening to music.
However, because of loss sound details by exposing low noise-attenuation, most people want to turn up volume higher for listening to the losses. In that situation, it showed strongly compressed upper treble details which easily exposes to hiss (distortion) on high volume level. This phenomenon probably makes you tired with long term listening so that you’d better down its volume level two steps than usually did before.
Because of this, many people are unhappy with ‘Powerbeats Pro’ designed with ‘Semi-opened’. But, in my subjective opinion, I think that ‘Apple’ made an outstanding decision for people’s safety. According to official commercials, the main market target of ‘Powerbeats Pro’ is focused on those who enjoy a variety of dynamic activities. ‘Semi-opened’ design helps to easily recognize users’ surroundings by low noise-attenuation(isolating), so safer than closed type in-ear buds.
I think Apple prefers the safety of the users is paramount than the acoustical. Unfortunately, it didn’t show advanced perfection in acoustic design, but this design is meant for people who love human-friendly products and engage in a variety of activities. If you take this into account and think about safety more importantly, ‘Powerbeats Pro’ is the best choice.
